Our firm founder and principal attorney Michael W. Gahagan is a graduate of Barry University School of Law who also holds an M.B.A. He is a dedicated immigration lawyer who entered this area of legal practice after undergoing a frustrating experience attempting to find effective counsel and navigate the U.S. immigration system for his own family. As of mid-2013, he is the only Louisiana lawyer actively filing and pursuing immigration lawsuits in federal courts.
Mr. Gahagan established The Immigration Law Firm of New Orleans to help people unite their families, fulfill their dreams of legal residence and citizenship, and overcome injustices. He is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), recently elected Federal Litigation Chairman for the Mid-South Region, who has completed extensive training in his field and built an outstanding record of successes for his clients.
